I think it's incredibly useful and should be part of a backup toolkit, but I don't really like the fact that you don't have any control over it. It's kinda like streaming in that way: at any point something could be removed — and there's nothing you can do.
On a slightly different note, Synology NAS drives (and many others tbf) allow you to sync specific folders and will ensure that any changes are automatically backed up. You can also access this from anywhere through the web portal, so it's kinda the best of both worlds.
