Alright alright alright, dear readers. Having a good festive season? Vibing hard? Looking forward to New Year? Perfect.

Whatever’s going on, hopefully you’re full of food, confused about what day it is, and have a few new gadgets to tinker with.

Anyway, I wanted to drop all you beautiful people a note to say a massive “thank you” for reading this year. You’re the best.

Aside from that, The Rectangle will be taking a short break, giving me a chance to unwind and fully enjoy this period. Also, my birthday is coming up soon, and there are pints to be had.

But don’t you worry: The Rectangle will be back in January for another year of essays about internet culture, tech, and all the weird stuff you find online.
